Blender - Free 3D Content Creation Suite
Blender 2.46 is a free 3D content creation suite for OS X. It allows you to create high quality 3D graphics, movies and interactive 3D content. Over the last decade, Blender has evolved as an in-house tool for several animation studios.
The first professional project in which Blender was used for was in the movie Spider-Man 2, where it was primarily used to create animatics/visualizations for the storyboard department.
There are versions available for Windows, Linux, OS X, Solaris, FreeBSD and Irix.
