Celestia - Free Space Simulator Application
Celestia 1.5.1 is a beautiful free OS X space simulator application that lets you explore our universe in three dimensions. Unlike most planetarium applications, Celestia does not confine you to the surface of the Earth, you can travel throughout the solar system, to over 100,000 stars, or even beyond the galaxy.
The zoom feature lets you explore space across a huge range of scales, from galaxy clusters down to spacecraft only a few meters across. It comes with a huge catalog of stars, galaxies, planets, moons, asteroids, comets and spacecraft.
Note: There are downloads for Windows, Linux and Mac OS X.
