Pencil 0.4.4b is an excellent free animation and drawing application for OS X. It allows you to create traditional hand-drawn animations and cartoons using both bitmap and vector graphics. This update includes support for Intel Macs.

Note: There are also downloads on the site for Windows XP, Mac OS X, Linux Ubuntu and ArchLinux.
