Mail.Appetizer - See Your Incoming Mail Without Having To Switch To Mail.App
Mail.appetizer 1.3b1 is an excellent free Apple Mail plug-in, that allows you to see your incoming email without having to switch to Apple Mail. The moment a new message is received, Mail.appetizer displays an onscreen notification window. It shows you the sender, the subject and gives you a brief summary of the message, so you can determine whether the email message requires your immediate attention or not.
The prominence of the notification can be defined by adjusting the transparency and the display time within the Apple Mail preference panel. There are versions available for Tiger and Leopard.
